Churning out smoke

I read with interest your report about smoke from boats and the intention of stopping it, that cannot come soon enough.

I live in one of the flats at Symphony Court [Birmingham Level Main Line] overlooking the place where boaters have their boats, and today, with little wind, the whole area is thick with smoke from the boats, though this is a clean air area, they completely ignore the fact.

I have been told that the area is only for passing boats to stay for a short time, but there have been a number here for weeks churning out smoke. Perhaps you would inform me who to contact. [Passed on to Canal & River Trust.]
