Oliver Cromwell for sale

BOATERS cruising either the Severn or Gloucester & Sharpness Canal in the past will have noticed the passenger paddle wheeler Oliver Cromwell plying its trade, but it is now up for sale.

The financial downturn and the precarious Severn meant that its business as an hotel boat was becoming less and less viable, so its owner has put the boat up for sale at an asking price of £325,000, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Converted

The Oliver Cromwell was converted to an hotel boat in the early 1990's with 14 twin en-suite cabins and eight double en-suite cabins as well as accommodation for the crew. It has a deck restaurant that can seat 50 diners, dance floor, stage and bar and a lounge.

It is being offered as having many possibilities for business or residential use.
