Narrowboat cinema

A NARROWBOAT can be used for many things, but perhaps the most bizarre is it being a floating cinema.

Yet from the 1st of July a converted narrowboat will be cruising the London waterways of East London with a selection of free screenings of old films together with talks and workshops.

Brainchild

It is all the brainchild of the artists Nina Pope and Karen Guthrie, and starts outside Lee Rowing Club on the Lee Navigation with the showing of the rare film Barging Through London.

There will be other short films made by East London teenagers on the Olympics, with it season of films lasting until the end of September.
