CaRT under the present regime have all but brought the waterways to a grinding halt. In Yorkshire they have succeeded. several times over the past years.

C&RT have falsified accounts to make themselves look good when in fact they are not fit for purpose. The number of stoppages this year/month says it all. [39 stoppages so far this month—Editor.]
The strategy to invest in 'wellbeing' in an attempt to convince the government the waterways are for the benefit of all appears to not have convinced anybody. It didn't convince me today in London watching two electric bikes weaving there way past pedestrians including a family of four—baby in pushchair and toddler walking alongside mum and dad. No 'wellbeing' evident to me!
If C&RT fail to get a reasonable grant it won't be down to narrowboatworld, The blame will lay firmly with CaRT.
