YET another complaint concerning those difficult broad locks up from Derwent Mouth Lock, with Bill Ridgeway telling:
Victor wrote—'I just wonder that after so many complaints from boaters about the difficult broad locks up from Derwent Mouth the powers-that-be have closed the lock to stop boaters using the waterway and therefore stopping the complaints'.
Sure way
That is certainly a 100% sure way of eliminating complaints.
The other (and proper) way would be to do whatever is necessary to eliminate the cause of complaints in the first place or is that too simplistic, naive and an expectation of value for what boaters have already paid?
