Fun and games on the 'Narrow'

FUN and games indeed on the Huddersfield Narrow.

Yesterday we were told that the water level was back to normal at locks 6E and 7E, so the canal would be open today (Friday) but that did not last long, for it is closed again, at the next lock, 5E, Keith Gudgin reports.

Risked it

This is in addition to the silt removal at other locks. So pity any live-aboard boater who is allowed to move who risked it.

This section of the waterway in Huddersfield is well known for its leaks, ourselves being caught, but luckily we had Fred to help us through, but perhaps like many other useful people he is no longer employed.
