THE NAVIGATION AND TOWPATH are still closed on the Digbeth Branch of the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal.
The closure was caused by a bridge strike, Keith Gudgin reports.
This occurred on Belmont Row Bridge on the 4th December.
Remain closed
The trust tells both the navigation and towpath will remain closed while it awaits confirmation of a repair plan from the third-party contractors.
Further information will be issued as soon as additional information becomes available, we are told.
Meanwhile the police have cordoned off the area for safety.
