Still they fail with the Rochdale number five

NOW it is the Rochdale Canal that will be closed for at least a month.

And what gets the blame this time?—Storm Ciarathat hit on the 8th and 9th of February.  That's four months ago or 110 days, or 16 weeks, but which ever way you look at it, it's a long time ago remarks Keith Gudgin, adding:

Pet excuse

"The excuses getting very weak as again Canal & River Trust is using its pet excuse of social distancing for the delay, but it is no excuse here as its workers would be in a boat on the cut well away from the precious walkers/cyclists passing them in droves.

If it's supposed to be safe for us to be on a boat then why not them.  Another example of the hypocritical nature of CaRT.  Do as we say—not as we do!  Just like senior government employees."

Same storm

This dredging that is from  Lock 6 to Lock 33 going to take four weeks, with the stoppage in addition to the one at Lock 6 that is also awaiting dredging cased by the same storm.
