Oh Ye of Little Faith!

TO KNOCK the (pipe?) dreams and aspirations of others is easy. To support those aspirations is praiseworthy. I believe that with enough determination the funding and eventual building of the Bedford-Milton Keynes Link will come to pass, writes Orph Mable.

It is with same belief that I support other so-called impossible/impractical schemes such as The Wilts & Berks, The Hereford & Gloucester, The Wey & Arun and other similar projects.

Getting their act together

From what I have read over the years on the subject of Bedford-Milton Keynes Link it would seem that those inspirational dreamers are getting their act together by recruiting high level support and constructing actual structures on the ground.

I remember when the Huddersfield restoration was labelled impossible. It is fantastic that its supporters ignored all the doomsayers and eventually achieved their objective.

I would ask (politely) that if you don't support the project, don't knock it or decry those that do. Just think on. How silly those detractors must have felt when the Huddersfield Narrow Canal was opened!
