H.R.H. The Princess Royal is to visit the Cotswold Canals restoration project next month and open a lock.

She will open Wallbridge Upper Lock at Stroud and also tour the Canal Visitor Centre in the town on Friday 10th February, Alan Tilbury reveals.

Feather in the cap

Councillor Keith Pearson, Deputy Leader of Stroud District Council enthused about her visit stating that it is 'a major feather in the cap for the canal project'.

Members of the Cotswold Canals Trust are looking forward to the visit, and will explain to the Princess Royal all that has been achieved by the Trust and its volunteers.
