Email: Lock sharing

Many people have small boats as I do, and it is easy to double up with another short boat in a single lock. Not many people do this, and other boaters are often surprised when I suggest it.

It also makes sense (if the blood pressure of long boat owners can stand it) for small boats to join up in queues. It does mean they queue jump, but it saves water and actual doesn't hold any one up, as they are on the same water that would have been used for only one small boat instead of two.

The lockies at Foxton and Watford positively promote this!
