Email: Mill stone

Published: Wednesday, 03 August 2011

The last time I emailed you about the chief executive and his useless group of so called directors I got shouted at by the Inland Waterways Association for my remarks due to me being a committee member of an IWA branch.

So I will deny any connection with IWA and these other remarks even though anybody who still thinks them as being a good thing for British Waterways must be as stupid as they are.

As a long time boater and IWA member I think it is about time that something was done to rid British Waterways of this mill stone round our necks before it is too late, and we are back to the days of the canals being nothing but stinking ditches.

Surely our beloved leaders in IWA and NABO must see the danger that our beloved waterways are in, and between them they must have enough clout to ensure that the bunch are no longer in a position to bring about the downfall of our waterways.

Bill Sinclair (not with my IWA hat on)

[We too were ostracised at narrowboatworld Bill, so no longer get IWA Press Releases or even Press tickets for the 'National'! What you might call cutting off your nose to spite your face!—Editor.]
