Email: Cheating honest people

Published: Monday, 06 June 2011

I've just got back from a few days away, to see Laurence Hogg contributing sycophantic drivel about someone who was a partner in an organisation that was committed to cheating honest people, fraudulently selling shares in boats and stealing large amounts of their money.

I'm sure Gill Rimmer was charming and cheerful while she was stealing boater's money; so was Allen Matthews, as are most conmen and women while they fraudulently relieve you of your hard-earned cash. As Hogg says, she will be remembered by many canal enthusiasts as they ruefully recall how they were swindled by the Rimmers. I'm sure not all of them will think this sad news. Anyone know if, or when the other one was sentenced? [Ed Rimmer is to reappear for sentencing during the week commencing 5th September 2011.]

Don't think I'll be buying any Laurence Hogg productions again—wouldn't trust anyone who thinks that thieves deserve this kind of treatment.
