IT WAS FIVE YEARS AGO that the body of a newborn baby boy was found in the Wryley and Essington Canal near Walsall.
A walker discovering the baby, Keith Gudgin reported.
The West Midlands Police believed their priority was to find the baby's mum, to make sure she was okay.
Get justice
The police tell they are appealing to the local community and the wider public to help them get 'justice' for the baby boy who was found in the canal by Rough Wood Country Park on 20th May 2021.
Multiple appeals have been issued since then, with the police telling they have acted on all the information they have received.
West Midlands Police, are asking for anyone who has information to come forward, even though it might be difficult.
