Erewash flasher caught

The man who has been exposing himself to women on the Erewash Canal towpath in Ilkeston has been arrested.

The police arrested the man who was exposing himself to women on the towpath by the park above Potter's Lock on the waterway, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Number of complaints

This was the result of a number of complaints by women of a man showing himself to them as they walked along the canal towpath by the park.

It was earlier this month that the police issued an appeal for information following reports that a man had exposed himself to women at various times during September and October.

The appeal included a warning to women to be aware when walking alone, with several people coming forward resulting in the arrest being made with the man, who was not named, being arrested on suspicion of four counts of outraging public decency.
