Dead man was a boater

THE Man whose body was found at Salterhebble on the Calder & Hebble Navigation was a boater.

Andrew Bennett was discovered on the towpath of the waterway on the 22nd November, and has been named by a coroner, Alan Tilbury tells us.

He lived in a boat moored at Salterhebble Basin.

The circumstances surrounding his death are not being treated as suspicious. An inquest was opened and adjourned at Bradford Coroner's Court on Friday.
