Drive everyone away

I READ Mick's article, and couldn't agree more with his opinions, ie cyclists will drive everyone away from the waterways. CaRT are in thrall to the green lobby, therefore nothing will be done unless an angler is injured, writes Martin Brooks.

Boat owners are neither catered for or even wanted by CaRT, even though we are the biggest source of income.

Boats for sale

Not for long though, because almost every boat I pass is up for sale and moorings are empty.  This leads me to believe that boating, as a way of life or as a weekend hobby, is finished.

We will look back on it fondly the way we do the British motorcycle, Rock & Roll, common courtesy and so many other things of the past.

Times are changing

As Bob Dylan said, "the times they are a changing," And there is nothing we can do about it.  Our lifestyle depended on old fashioned values like courtesy, consideration for others, time to spare for people and many others which no longer exist in this me, me, me world.

RIP waterways, I'm off to Spain ASAP
