Visitor moorings

HAVING visited Fazeley on a number of occasions, seven days mooring is indicated by arrows, showing the mooring area. The visitors mooring is separate and nearer to the town, writes Peter Ponting.

However the 48 hour visitors moorings are opposite an industrial site who become very noisy around 7.00am.

CaRT representative

Regarding the signs indicating 2D. Having spoken to a CaRT representative, I was informed that 2D means exactly what it says, two days. Having asked for further clarity on the meaning of two days. I was informed that if a boat turns up at say 5.00pm on a 2D mooring. The 2D will not commence until the following day, therefore you could stay for three nights before moving on.

I hope this clarifies the confusion regarding both the Fazeley moorings and the 2D moorings.

And...

And Sue of No Problem further clarifies:

In answer to Keith Gudgin's query on what 2D moorings actually mean.. Well 2D is really three days! At these moorings you can arrive on Saturday at 9am (or earlier) and you are recorded on Sunday as one day. Then Monday is day two. So you can leave at 6pm on Monday or even later if you wish! It would be far better to say 2N, two nights!
