Son of Mr Asbo?

Another swan on the Cam in Cambridge is earning itself a reputation of attacking canoeists and the like on the river and animals on the towpath.

It was the well known Mr Asbo who safeguarded his territory against all comers on the river, and it is thought the new one, with the traits of Mr Asbo, now being called Asboy, could possibly be the son of the original Mr. Asbo, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Backed down

The latest story is that it took on a cow on the towpath, but backed down, thinking it too big!  Though it is not above clearing the towpath when fancy takes it, and attacking other swans coming too near.

People believe it rather vicious, but swans are certainly not the gentle creatures often pictured gliding along the canals and rivers. but vicious creatures should anything invade their territory.
