A great idea—but...

IN THEORY a boat handling passport is a great idea, not so easy in practice, especially with the large numbers of guests who come from overseas to spend time (and money) on our canals.

Unfortunately, as in all walks of life there are the responsible citizens, and the irresponsible ones who are just out for a lark, get drunk and do damage to cars, buses, pubs, hotel rooms, gardens, childrens' playgrounds, football grounds etc., writes Linda Andrews of Cheshire Cat Holidays.

Booked through agencies
