Email: Try Thames and Regents Canal

Published: Friday, 01 March 2013

In reference to Ralph's piece on moorings, he should try the Thames and the Regent's Canal.

If you don't moor by 14.30 on the Thames you can't find a place as most boats are under 40ft. and don't leave enough space in between boats for a 58ft. narrowboat.

On the Grand Union from Bulls Bridge to Victoria park all boats seem to be continuously moored, even on water points.

It is a very long cruise from Bulls Bridge to the River Lea in the cold, I know, I have done this.  Any suggestions would be warmly welcome as I will be coming back this way at the end of our summer cruise.
