Marinas—still they come

ANOTHER new marina is in the offing—at Ivinghoe on the Grand Union Canal below Pitstone Wharf.

There are plans to convert a former golf driving range into a 200 berths marina, with the application now submitted to the local council.

Environmentalists

As is usual, the application included a sop to the environmentalists with the statement 'maintaining protected species and increasing biodiversity to this section of the canal corridor'.

The application also included buildings for toilets and showers, together with administration, though no café, pub, etc.
