THE Water Company Severn Trent are carrying out major storm drain work at Oxley & Pendeford over the next few weeks, shutting off the outflow to the Shropshire Union between Lock 1 and Bridge 2.

This outflow is being redirected to the current outflows on the Staffs & Worcs Canal between Bridge 64 and Autherley Junction with the outflow opposite Oxley Marine carrying double its normal flow!

Take due care

Orph Mable of Oxley Marine asks that boaters please take due care when passing the moored boats opposite these outflows.
