The point that seems to have been overlooked concerning the pump-out increase made by British Waterways.

For whilst it has put its charge up to 'match' that being levied by boatyards and some marinas (and some are downright profiteering), a pump-out in a boatyard or marina usually includes a dose of toilet-fluid in with the price.

Well above

I add two litres of fluid each time I empty my holding tank which costs me £5 to £6 pounds at current prices. This equates to a pump-out using a British Waterways facility costing over £20!, well above most commercial rates.

A further example of British Waterways profiteering from its primary customer, whilst other canal users pay little or nothing for enjoying the facility that we the boaters pay for.
