Fuel for air ambulances

Published: Sunday, 18 March 2012

AS RIDICULOUS as it may seem fuel for air ambulances is subject to tax, but there is a move to get it exempt by a government petition.

Air ambulance attend to people in need in remote places, where normal ambulances cannot get—such as out in 'the sticks' on a boat on the remote waterways, so it is essential that we help save the service money by signing the petition, given below.

Lifeboat fuel exempt

Strangely lifeboat fuel is exempt from tax but not that used by air ambulances, both performing a similar service.

If 100,000 signatures are gained, parliament has to debate the issue, so please do your utmost to swell the number—if you are a boater, you never know, you may need the services of an air ambulance.
