Email: Unlicenced boats

Someone at narrowboatworld wonders why British Waterways cannot take a similar procedure to that taken by the Environment Agency in dealing with unlicenced boats.

It could be that it would mean someone at British Waterways would have to get off their rear ends. Boats are on the water unlicenced and no-one seems to give it any attention.

More problems up ahead, particularly for boaters, if and when Canal & River Trust lumbers into life. And if it doesn't see the light of day still problems because British Waterways have sold everything not nailed down. (Okay, an exaggeration but not much.)

It all reminds me of the Euro. To a poor simple soul like me it seems obvious that it won't work, regardless of how many times we are told it is on the way up.
