Anderton volunteer evening

A SPECIAL Open Evening is being staged at Anderton Boat Lift next month to recruit prospective volunteers for Canal & River Trust.

With still a shortage of volunteers British Waterways is staging Open Evenings to encourage more to come forward to get involved with the work of the new Trust at Anderton Boat Lift.

Sharing knowledge

We are told British Waterways is looking for volunteers to help in all areas of their business including helping with the events and education program, caring for the grounds or sharing local knowledge and past experiences with  visitors.

The volunteer open evening is being held at Anderton Boat Lift on Thursday 9th February between 3pm and 7pm, to give people a first-hand chance to see how they might become involved and make a difference. Anderton Boat Lift staff will be on hand to talk about the roles and opportunities together with existing volunteers who will be sharing their experiences.
