Another T&M marina

THERE is the possibility of yet another marina being built on the already overcrowded Trent & Mersey Canal.

Notice of eviction has been made on the premises of Northwich Victoria Football Club by the side of the waterway, Alan Tilbury reveals.

Solicitors have confirmed that an agreement has been made with the receivers between prospective buyers of the property, that includes a company interested in creating a marina.

The nine acres site is besides the Trent & Mersey, and would make an ideal location for a marina, but there will surely be many objections from owners of the many new marinas that have already been built on the waterway.

The football club will play a home game tomorrow (Saturday), but there is no information what will happen after that, as it has been served with a notice to vacate the premises pending a sale.
