Plaque to prevent drownings

THREE men have died in the Ouse after jumping from a pub balcony, so a plaque has been erected to warn of the danger.

The men have not committed suicide but have jumped from the balcony into the river on their own accord after drinking in the Revolution bar.

Celebrate his last shift

The last one to meet his death this way was 21 years old Richard Horrocks, who it is stated leaped into the river to celebrate his last shift at the bar.

The plaque, that bears his picture has been erected on the balcony, and it is hoped it will prevent others from jumping into the river and drowning.
