I WOULD like to say 'thank you' to all of you who have wished me well over my recent illness, that was greatly appreciated. (The thanks not the illness!)

The sheer number who have emailed me was surprising, and hope to eventually get round to answering you all.  I'm afraid it is an underlying problem, and though mostly I do not succumb, this time it was somewhat too much.

However, narrowboatworld is back again, with my apologies if some articles are now a little dated, and others missed, but it will soon hopefully be back to normal.

Just one other thing, the unknown person who posted on a forum that I had been 'knocking it back somewhat' couldn't have been more wrong—it was over 50 years since I last had any alcohol!
