Second body in canal

A SECOND body has been discovered in the Huddersfield Broad Canal yards from a previous drowning.

Susan Howe's body was discovered last Friday (16th December) by a dog walker at Fartown, with an inquest opened into her death but adjourned, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Same location

This came just two weeks after another woman, Joyce Pitter, was found in the water of the Huddersfield Broad Canal at virtually the same location.

In both cases the police state that there were no suspicious circumstances.
