Email: Little comparison

Just thought that I had to reply to Frank's email. How can you compare a motorbike or a 4x4 to a push bike? If you are hit by a motorbike or a 4x4, you are more likely to be seriously injured or even killed.

How would you propose to police a push bike ban? A lot of boaters (myself included) also have cycles that we use to pop to the local shops and towns when out on the cut.

Most cyclists use common sense when on the towpath. You will get a few idiots who don't care, but hopefully educating them in the dangers of speeding will help.

A blanket ban for cyclists is impractical, impossible to police and unnecessary. Why not go the full hog and ban fishermen, mobility scooters, dog walkers and pushchairs etc?
