Fradley information centre to close

THE British Waterways information centre and gift shop at Fradley Junction is the latest of its ventures to close.

This combined information centre and gift shop at the junction of the Trent & Mersey Canal and the Coventry Canal is being closed for 'economic reasons'.

Shut down

It is expected that many of British Waterways ventures will be closed down in preparation for its move into a charity, though no mention has been made of the café  that was opened a few years ago at the same location.

It is hoped to lease the premises, but our source tells us that there is yet no interest.  It will close at the end of April.
