THE BOSLEY FLIGHT ON THE Macclesfield Canal has now reopened.

bosley locksThis was closed due to a paddle failure. Keith Gudgin reports.

The failure occurred on Monday the 30th March, with the team quickly on site and the paddle repaired yesterday, Wednesday.

The problem was that with the paddle not working properly the lock could not hold water, thus stopping navigation.

This occurred on Lock 11 that of course closed the whole flight there being no mooring allowed in the flight.
