Overpowering

Even an aerial platform was brought in as firefighters at first were unable to get too near the blaze, it being overpowering.

It was around noon when this occurred and quickly spread amongst the scrap vehicles and the like.

Canal & River Trust tell that the navigation has now reopened, but boaters are to be aware of smoke in the area.
