IT WAS THE 9TH OF FEBRUARY when Daw End Canal was closed.
This caused by a pollution incident affecting the canal, Keith Gudgin reports.
Spill pads and containment booms are currently in place, attempting to minimise the contamination. The pollution starts at: Latham Bridge and ends at Aldridge Wharf Bridge.
No boats
It is essential that boats do not pass through the area, as movement would risk dispersing the pollution further.
All that is told is that there will be an update on the 7th April.
