TWO MORE WINTER WORKS have been added to the list, as urgent repairs.
These are on the Nottingham & Beeston Canal and the Stourbridge Canal, Keith Gudgin reports.
On the Nottingham & Beeston Canal we are told there are 'essential paddle works' that are required to Beeston Lock where the canal connects to the Trent.
And to ensure the repairs can be carried out safely and effectively, a full navigation closure will be in place for the duration of the works.
This stoppage it is told is necessary to maintain the continued reliability and safe operation of the lock.
Stourbridge Canal
Once again it is 'essential paddle works' that have caused the stoppage on the Stourbridge Canal at Stourbridge Lock 2.
And again we are told that to ensure the repairs can be carried out safely and effectively, a full navigation closure will be in place for the duration of the works.
And this stoppage is necessary to maintain the continued reliability and safe operation of the lock.
