Where has all the water gone?

IN THIS time of too much water here's part of the the Stourbridge Canal with none!

Last Thursday, the 4th January, whilst  most of the canals had lots of water and the rivers flooded there is part of the Stourbridge Canal with none.

No stoppage notice

No stoppage notice either, with a towpath walker noticing the empty pound and a boat in the mud.

So is it yet another sinkhole, or perhaps another culvert that is responsible?

A lock gate above the drained pound  was later opened to allow water in, but from all accounts water is not up to its normal level, so suggests a leak somewhere.
