That pan removed

THAT pan that was both on the Trent & Mersey and the Soar has been removed.

Though Tom Redway tells us it was only tied with baler twine when he passed in February, suggesting it was not very safe, vandals are being blamed for it breaking away and blocking the river.

Blamed coronavirus

Canal & River Trust used the reason for not moving it due to the on-going crisis with the coronavirus, but it was still quickly moved.

Reporting this, boaters were reminded to 'please remember our customers should only be travelling for essential reasons, while we are dealing with this current crisis'.
