Did not want to live in a narrowboat

IT CAN be expected that most people living in boats do so from choice, but one couple certainly did not.
Ken and Barbara Mead, 81 and 77, had their 'dream home' demolished in front of them by Cheshire East Council insisting the couple had permission for a warehouse only, Alan Tilbury reports.
Wrong specifications
The council maintain that the couple built to the wrong specifications and then later lived in it, but the two saying they only moved in as they were fed up of having to live in a narrowboat.
Demolish the building
As they should not have lived in the warehouse according to the council, enforcement officers brought in workers to demolish the building, with the couple now back in the narrowboat.
But alas, not through choice.
