Another drowning in Dewsbury

THERE has been a further drowning in the Calder in Dewsbury.

This, according to the local Press, occurred last Saturday night when a young man finished up in the Calder in Dewsbury after a night out and being seen staggering about on CCTV, his body being recovered the following morning. Sid Haworth tells us.

Though there have been attempts to resurrect the 'Yorkshire Dipper', when there were five drowning in the town within three weeks in 2016, it would seem from the comments concerning the CCTV footage the young man lost his step and fell into the waterway and was unable to get out.
