Trade moorings for London

THE Canal & River Trust has announced the results of its tender for new permanent trade moorings in Paddington Basin. And will announce those for Little Venice Pool shortly.

The Trust received more applications than were expected, so were able to choose what it thought the best option for the two locations.

Paddington

It was British Land who secured both moorings at Paddington, and will be installing a floating coffee shop and to further the interest in the waterway, a floating ‘welcome centre' to give more information about the canals to people visiting the area.

As for the trade moorings at Little Venice, a short-list has been created, with the applicants now being considered, dependent upon the services they offer.
