THE Dudley Canal Trust is to stage the festive treat of Christmas Choral trips around the caverns and limestone mines, that are guaranteed to inspire the seasonal spirit.

Festive favourites

Visitors will hear the tunnels come alive to festive favourites including Ding Dong, Merrily on High, God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen, Coventry Carol and Silent Night.

Nick Morris, Chief Executive of Dudley Canal Trust Trips, explains:

"We're thrilled to be hosting this show in our limestone mines and caverns. The acoustics in our underground tunnels are particularly unique, and we look forward to welcoming audiences for a very enjoyable evening."

Unique concert

The choir on the electric boat will perform live in unaccompanied four-part harmony for a unique concert lasting about an hour, travelling through the tunnel network through locations such as Cathedral Arch and the famous Singing Cavern.

Boats depart for the concert at 6.00pm on Sunday 14th and Sunday 21st December and tickets are £10.80 which includes the travel around the caverns in one of Dudley Canal Trust's special electric tunnel tripping boats, as well as a hot drink and a mince pie. Other refreshments will also be on sale on the canal towpath before the show.

Tickets are available online at www.dudleycanaltrust.org.uk or from the Dudley Canal Trust Trips offices in person or by calling 0121 557 6265.
