THERE is now great concern for 14 years old Alice Goss, who disappeared from walking the towpath of the Grand Union Canal at Brentford.

Disappeared last Thursday

She was seen on CCTV last Thursday walking along the towpath toward Brentford Lock that connects the canal to the Thames, and it is being taking so seriously that Scotland Yard's homicide and major crime squad are in charge of the search, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Alice, who has health problems, left home at 1pm last Thursday in Hanwell, telling that she would be back later that day, but has not been seen since.

Walking back

She was seen on CCTV walking the Grand Union Canal towpath just over an hour later near the Holiday Inn at Brentford Lock, heading towards the Thames, then seen again on CCTV walking back on the towpath.

Perhaps a boater could have noticed Alice on the towpath at the time, she is white, 5ft 2in and slim, with shoulder length, light brown hair. She was wearing dark blue jeans, a dark green lacy cardigan and denim blue Vans shoes. She may have had tartan-framed glasses.
