Trust nearly lost its ducks

A LARGE bag full of yellow plastic ducks being transported to the Mon & Brec Canal for its duck race, very nearly did not make it.

A large bag full of them fell off the transport near Abergavenny on the way to the canalĀ  and scattered all over the carriageway, Keith Gudgin tells us.

Dodging the ducks

It was motorists dodging around the ducks that alerted the police, who had the task of clearing them all from the road, but they were eventually collected and sent on their way to the Bank Holiday Event at the 14 Locks on the waterway.

This was to raise funds for the Monmouthshire, Brecon and Abergavenny Canals Trust.
