CaRT cock-up goes viral

THE comments concerning the male genitalia shaped map of Berkhampted published by Canal & River Trust have now gone viral, with thousands taking to social media to offer their views.

 

The map has made Canal & River Trust a laughing stock online after it published it in the shape of a male genitalia, with it seems red faced staff bringing out Simon Salem to attempt to defuse the situation by telling:

Like a willy

"This is one of about 100 maps we've been promoting. It does look, as one poster on Facebook says, like a willy. We didn't notice it. Somebody should have seen it, I agree.

"You could accuse of us of being a bit naive but canals are [not] long, straight things, and when you draw a map it tends to be that sort of shape."

But took a positive view in relating:

"If it gets at least one more person down to the canal then it has worked."
