Email: Not surprised

I was not in the least surprised to read of a narrowboat being stuck under St Oswald's road bridge in Chester.

The pub often uses the bridge for not only working on its trip boat, but as a base for it, and it should not be allowed as it is causing an obstruction.

There are plenty of mooring space by the pub, in fact even its own mooring space, but of course working on it under the bridge is for an obvious reason—it is out of the rain.

And saying that they move it if a boat comes past is absolute rubbish, as they certainly did not move it when I wanted to pass, but had to ask around to find out the owners and then get someone out to move it, which they did under duress I might add. So I can understand why the other boat that became wedged tried to get past it.

Most likely became frustrated at waiting for something to happen.
