SWANS are being targeted on the Thames in Windsor, with more following earlier reports. (Swan barbecued).

The birds have been obviously tortured, with one found this week with its wings bound together and another with a rope around its neck, Alan Tilbury reveals.

The one with its wings bound was discovered close to Baths Island where the barbecued one was found, and still another swan was found shot dead through the head in Home Park.

The police have now been involved as it is feared there is a concerted attempt to attack swans, but it is not known whether for food or for someone’s idea of fun.

Fine or jail

Swans are the property of the Queen, and anyone killing or injuring a swan is liable for a £5,000 fine or six months in jail. Stealing a swan egg is also an offence and carries the same maximum penalty.
