Boater found under ice

THE body of a boater moored at Crick has been discovered under the ice of the Grand Union Canal.

The boater who moored his boat at Crick was discovered by a member of the public near Crick Wharf, Chris Morrison tells us.

Emergency services

It was at 8am yesterday (Thursday) morning the shape of a man was seen under the ice on the canal, and the emergency services called to the scene.

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, with fellow boaters in the area being asked about the man's last movements.
