Erewash closed

POLLUTION leaking into the Erewash Canal has closed a section until it can be cleared.

The waterway is at present closed between Trent Lock and Hallam Fields Lock. Boaters are asked not to travel along this section, until the pollution has been dealt with.

It is estimated that this pound will be closed for approximately two days.
